La Cougourde

Hanni and I did two versions of this photograph. One is showing cows in the foreground with the waterfall more left in the image. Dimensionwise the cows give a better idea of how massive this rock is.
However we chose this photo as its more dramatic and the scenery appears more wild and remote without any domestic animals showing.
La Cougourde rises up to 2921 m in the mountain mass of Mercantour-Argentera between Piedmont and Alpes Maritime.
We did this image while hiking in a remote Vesubie valley close to the Italien border.
