HOBIE CAT REGATTA TROPHEE VIRGINIO BRUNI TEDESCHI

Last Easter weekend we joined the crowd at the Club Nautique in Cavalière. It was time for the 6ème Trophée Virginio Tedeschi– a Hobie Cat sailing regatta which was initiated by Marisa Bruni-Tedeschi to honor the memory of her son the photographer Virginio Bruni-Tedeschi who died 2006. The first trophy was handed over by Carla Bruni and husband in 2009 and this year her sister the actress and director Valeria Bruni came to honor the winner.
Nevertheless the atmosphere was simply laid back and informal. After all these were days of serious sailing (and a not so serious stand up paddle finale). We stayed on land for the most part and watched the washed out neon sails fly over turquoise water. This is a little reportage about the weekend.
