photographe mariage Provence // Elsie & David

It all started with an email from a French girl named Elsie telling us that she and her fiance David are getting married in his home country England and will come to Provence to celebrate. She wrote, that it seemed like fate when she found our blog and read that we just came to France. A hilarious Skype call later we found us driving up to Elsies parents home. It was one of these silvery Côte d’Azur spring days. Just perfect for a backyard wedding party.

Hamburg wedding and a visit to Deichhof Haseldorf

Haseldorf, a village near Hamburg. Judith & Jost chose to get married there. Their chosen location was Deichhof Haseldorf a beautiful barn behind a green protective dike with browsing sheep and steady westwinds.

A walk on the dike

The community of Haseldorf owns a beautiful little church made of brickstone and is situated within walking distance of the dike. After their ceremony the wedding crowd went for a short walk on top of the dike. Some sheep joined the group.
All details at the wedding were crafted and collected by Judith. Her effort and thoughtfulness was visible in each corner and created an atmosphere of warmth and intimicy.

Wedding alte Gaertnerei Taufkirchen Muenchen

Multicultural wedding alte Gaertnerei Taufkirchen Munich

Imagine a morning with blue skies and little white fluffy clouds. A house filled with collections of paintings, espresso cups, porcelain bunnies and a loving and hearty family. A garden with apple trees and a swimming pool embellished with childrens paintings. That’s the childhood home of Miriam. And that’s where Miriams and Mesuts day started.

Their wedding has been a great mix of Turkish and Jewish traditions. After their civil marriage in Munichs Trausaal mandlstrasse the lively crowd of family and friends headed to a scenic location called Alte Gärtnerei Taufkirchen (which means old market garden). Later that day the couple met under a Chuppa. Miriams brother has been their celebrant and married them in a perfectly wonderful and casual way.

Here comes our tribute to an adorable couple and an exceptional day. A day filled with the infectious laughter of Miriam and the ease and calm of Mesut.

Gartenhochzeit in Berlin

Garden wedding in Berlin.
Sometimes you don’t need to travel to the other end of the world. The most perfect wedding venue could be very near. It could be right there where you spent your summer weekends as a child and picked the sweetest strawberries ever.

It could be your grandparents garden.

Berliner Gartenhochzeit

Ever since the day we met Johanna and Bastian we were very curious about their wedding day. They told us about their families and the property near Berlin in the village called Rüdnitz. We instantly felt very connected to them and their idea of celebrating a wedding, because it reminded us of our own wedding day.

There’s something very special about a wedding like this. Certainly turning a backyard into a wedding venue all by the help of family and friends takes a lot of strength, coordination and things can be a little chaotic sometimes. But at the same time there’s a wonderful atmosphere of calm which evolves from the feeling to be at home.

Aline & Philipp

Wedding Photographer Amrum

If you read this article living outside Germany, you probably never heard about Amrum. Aline and Philipp invited us to this beautiful and tiny island in the North Sea to photograph their wedding in early summer this year.

It has been the smallest wedding that we have ever witnessed. The ceremony took place in an old captains house with a roof made of reed, which is typical for this maritime region. Aline and Philipp got married in the former living room of the captains family. The room was so tiny that we were wondering, if all of us would fit in. – And we were only 11 people altogether.

We’ll never forget the calm and ease of that wedding day. Being with Aline and Philipp we got the feeling that they take things as they come. The relaxed atmosphere of the island fits them perfectly.
