Fatima and Niels mailed me a photo they took of each other in front of their future wedding location on Rügen. The photo was one of this couple snapshots I love to do myself. You take your pocket camera, stretch out one arm and capture this personal moment, sticking heads together, just being happy by yourself. Techincally it may not be the most perfect shot, but it can mean a lot to you. I was immediatly hooked and couldn’t wait to get to know them.

Some months later Fatima and me met in Berlin. We had a coffee and talked about their wedding plans. I was impressed by her charisma. Fatima works as a teacher and does kickboxing. I think this is a pretty cool and useful combination. In the end of our meeting she warned me, because her family loves to be photographed a lot. For me this sounded just great.

I met Niels for the first time just a few minutes before the ceremony started. As soon as he spotted me, he called out: Hanni! – And gave me a hug. One thing I love about being a wedding photographer is to see so many happy people. Fatima and Niels have such a warm-hearted family. It was a pleasure to be with them and a lot of fun to work.

Their wedding guests arrived from all around the world. Originally Fatimas family is from Iran. So they mixed persian influences into the food, the music and decoration.

When dinner was finished, I felt a kind of electric tension in the air. The couple started their first dance. What began with a slow romantic theme turned into a crazy mix with a stunning choreography. Everybody was screaming and clapping hands. You can imagine how the rest of the night turned out. Pure fun and dancing craziness.

 I never have seen so many men on the dancefloor. They battled each other with amazing moves. Old people, young people, just everybody celebrated the couples big day dancing altogether all night long. Really everybody! – Even me. The crowd danced with such power and passion I ‘ll never forget. Fatima and Niels thank you for this beautiful day. ~ Hanni

Fatimas and Niels wedding day took place on Rügen, the ceremony was held at the castle  Schloss Ralswiek and the party went on at Gut Grubnow.
